Seventh-Day Adventist Church
Prayer Assignments - Week 70-79
Memory Verse - Revelation 10:1-7 (Revelation 10:7)
Revelation 10:7 - Jesus proclaiming that prophetic time should be no longer. "But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel (seventh trumpet Revelation 11:15-19) when He shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, (that prophetic time shall be finished) as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.
Revelation 10:1-6 - This can be no other than Jesus Christ.
Revelation 10:2 - "And he had in his hand a little book open." Most bible scholars believe that this little book open is the book Daniel. Daniel himself said in Daniel 12:1-4 that the book of Daniel would be shut up even to the time of the end.
The burden of Christ's preaching was "the time fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand." Daniel 9:24-27.
Memory Verse - Revelation 10:8-11 (Revelation 10:10)
Revelation 10:10 - "And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey, and as soon as I had eaten it my belly was bitter."
Daniel 8:1-14 - Gives us a quick overview of prophetic history.
Daniel 8:14 - And He said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days (a day equals a year in prophecy, Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6), then shall the sanctuary be cleansed, the 2,300 days would equal 2,300 years in prophetic time, according to Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6.
Daniel 8:14 and Daniel 7:13 - Were fulfilled at this time.
Revelation 10:10 - Was fulfilled at the end of the 2,300 year period when written by Daniel. This prophetic time period ended in the year 1844. More on this time period later (2,300 year time period).
Daniel 7:13 - Daniel saw Jesus going from the holy place in heaven, into the most holy place (at the end of this 2,300 year time period, which ended in 1844) Then said Daniel "Shall the sanctuary be cleansed" Jesus work - "a putting away of sin" for his people. We can stand alone in our filthy rags of sin, or we may have the white robe of Christ perfect righteousness. The choice is ours. See Matthew 22:1-4 and Revelation 19:7-10.
The Son of man must be lifted up. They were to look and live. John 12:32-34 and Isaiah 45:22.
Memory Verse - Revelation 11:1-13 (Revelation 11:1)
Revelation 11:1 - "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, "RISE, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein." Rise is capitalized, indicating that this is Jesus measuring you and me. We must remember that the hour of His judgement is come.
Daniel 8:14 and Revelation 14:6 - At the end of the 2,300 year period (1844).
Revelation 11:3-4 - This is our work. The two witnesses are the old and the New Testament of the Bible. The two olive trees and the two candlesticks are Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 11:5-13 - Many believe Revelation 11:7-11 is referring to France and the French Revolution 1798-1801.
We must be born of the divine spirit. This is true worship. Jesus said, "Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
Memory Verse - Revelation 11:14-19 (Revelation 11:18)
Revelation 11:18 - "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them which destroy the earth."
Revelation 11:15-19 - The seventh trumpet or the seventh angel sounded and saying, "And the time of the dead, that they should be judged." Revelation 11:18
Revelation 11:19 - Jesus is preparing for his second coming.
Revelation 11:19 - There was seen in his temple in heaven, the ark. Note - the Ten Commandments are in the ark. Deuteronomy 10:1-5.
The second advent announces the kingdom of His glory (His character). Revelation 18:1-4.
Christ our righteousness. Revelation 14:12. Jesus putting away our sins. Daniel 8:14
Memory Verse - Revelation 12:1-6 (Revelation 12:6)
Revelation 12:6 - "And the woman (church) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days." This is a 1,260 year period, a day equals a year in bible prophecy, Ezekiel 4:6 and numbers 14:34 (538-1798). This is the fulfillment of Daniel 7:25 - concerning the papacy and a time period of 1,260 years, that would exercise power over God's people). More on Daniel 7:25 later, but for now Revelation 12:6 is fulfilling what Daniel said in Daniel 7:25. When emperor Justinian of the Roman Empire, gave a decree, recognizing the Pope's supremacy as supreme "Head of all Holy Churches", in the Roman Empire. This legal law went into full effect in 538 AD and the 1,250 year period closed in 1798 at the start to the French Revolution." This 1,260 year time period is know in the church as the Dark Ages. It perfectly fulfills our memory verse Revelation 12:6.
Jesus will save to the uttermost to those that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.
Memory Verse - Revelation 12:17
"And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman (Church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandment's of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." See Revelation 19:10.
In Revelation chapter twelve is represented the great conflict between the obedient a disobedient.
Revelation 12:11 - "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death." This war is carried on till the close of time.
Revelation 12:17 - In the last days, only a remnant still existed.
Revelation 12:10 - Satan is cast down from Heaven by the death of Christ in giving up his lie upon the cross of calvary.
Jesus assured humanity that the accusing power of Satan is broken. Through Peter the Spirit of God said, "Repent, and be baptized in the name os Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:37-39
For all who submit to His power, "Our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:29.
Memory Verse - Revelation 13:1-10 (Revelation 13:8)
Revelation 13:8 - "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the worlds." (His influence is world wide)
Revelation chapter thirteen - concerns every human agent. The issue is over worship.
In Revelation chapter thirteen two beasts are presented.
Revelation 13:1-10 - Who is this fierce looking first beast?
Revelation 13:1 - The first beast came out of the water.
Revelation 17:15 tells us that in prophecy, water is a person.
Revelation 13:3-8 tells us this first beast is a man, "and all the world wondered after the beast." He is a human being, that is worshipped by all whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb Jesus.
Revelation 13:5-7 - He makes ware with the saints, to continue for 1,260 years. (see Daniel 7:25) He speaks great things against God.
Revelation 13:1-8 - We can identify this first beast (papal Rome) by prayerfully studying Daniel chapter 7:1-28. Only the papacy fulfills Daniel 7:25. "And think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hands until a time and times and the dividing of time." This time period adds up to 42 months. A time 360 days, and times equals 360 days x 2 = 720 days, and a dividing of time 360 days divided by 2 = 180 days, for a total of 1,260 days or 42 months. Remember a day equals a year in prophetic time. Revelation 13:5 mentioned the 42 months (1,260 years). The papacy admits changing the day of worship from the seventh day to the first day of the week (Sunday worship) in 325AD under Emperor Constantine. Daniel 7:25 says, "He shall think to change times and laws." The first day of the week has not one particle of sanctity. God has designated this seventh day as his Sabbath. Exodus 31:13, 16, 17. Jesus said, "If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know the teaching." John 7:17, 8:32
Memory Verse - Revelation 13:11-17 (Revelation 13:16)
Revelation 13:16 - "And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads."
Revelation 13:11-18 - Who was the second beast coming up out of the earth, and he had tow horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon? This symbolizes a political power. Only one nation on earth fits the description given. The United States of America. The USA had two horns like a lamb.
Revelation 13:11-15 - The USA has power to give life unto the image of the beast (the second horn of the lamb). Protestantism as having lamblike horns, keeping a man-made Sabbath - a child of the papacy.
Revelation 13:16,17 - Warning against the mark of the beast. What is the mark of the beast? It is the mark of his authority - Sunday worship.
Revelation 13:16,17 - The time is coming when God's people will feel the hand of persecution, because they keep holy the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is God's sign or seal - Exodus 31:12-18.
Revelation 13:13,14 - Tells us that miracles will be performed in our sight by Satan to confirm minds in the belief that he is God. (fire from Heaven in our sight). The mark of the beast is not yet applied. Sunday keeping is not yet the mark of the beast, and scripture says (Revelation 13:15-17) will not be until the decree goes forth causing men to worship the idol Sabbath.
Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12 & Revelation 22:14 indicates (keeping the commandments of God) that the time will come when the Sabbath Day will be the test, but that time has not yet come.
Jesus is the great center - Christ was hid in God. John 15:5, Luke 2:49
Memory Verse - Revelation 14:1-5 (Revelation 14:5)
Revelation 14:5 - "And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."
Revelation 14:1-4 - These scriptures represent the character of the people of God for these last days. The lamb and the 144,000.
Revelation 14:1 - "His Father's name written in their foreheads."
Revelation 14:3 - "And they sung as it were a new song (experience) before the throne." Only the 144,000 learn that song. They are virgins (they follow pure doctrines)
Revelation 14:4 - God's people follow the Lamb now.
Revelation 14:5 - Tells us why only the 144,000 learn that song. They are made perfect, by the blood of Jesus, and in the sight of God. They have fulfilled Revelation 14:2. "They keep the ten commandments of God and they have the faith of Jesus."
Revelation 18:1 - They were full of the light and the glory of the Holy One.
Colossians 1:27 - "Christ in you, the hope of glory."
Memory Verse - Revelation 14:6-12 (Revelation 14:12)
Revelation 14:12 - "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
Revelation 14:6 - The everlasting gospel is preached. That Jesus is the sin pardoning Saviour.
Revelation 14:7 - The first angel's message. We are called upon to fear God (to hate evil Proverbs 8:13) and give glory to God (to reveal his character in our own) and worship Him as the Creator of the heavens and earth." As found only in Genesis 2:1-3 and Exodus 20:11 (The Creator)
Revelation 14:8 - The second angel's message. Babylon is fallen is fallen. God denounces Babylon. "Because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." (See Revelation 18:1-4)
Babylon represents the fallen churches that have become as described in Revelation 18:1-5, which means the fallen churches have disregarded the only commandment, which points out the true God, as our Creator of the heavens and the earth, and has torn down the Seventh-Day Sabbath, God's memorial of creation.
God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh, sanctifying this day, and setting it apart from all others as holy to Himself, to be observed by His people throughout their generations. See Exodus 31:16,17 and Exodus 20:8-11. But the man of sin (the Papacy) exalting himself above God, sitting in the temple of God, thought to change times and law. See Daniel 7:25.
Revelation 14:9-12 - The third angel's message is a specific warning against the mark of the beast. It's a life and death question. The false Sabbath, the first day of the week, Sunday worship.
What is the mark of God (the Seal of God)? It is in direct contact with the mark of God. See Exodus 31:12-18 and Revelation 14:12. The Sabbath question will be the issue in the great conflict in which all the world will act a part.
Revelation 14:12 - The third angel's message is calling a people up higher and higher, in preparation for the latter rain and the fulfillment of Revelation 14:12
How do we experience the faith of Jesus and bring Him glory? Believe that Jesus has chosen you. Believe his death, his sacrifice is the center of our hope. To the cross of calvary, bearing a dying saviour, we must look
